11th Session
From 14 to 22 November 2012, the eleventh session of the Assembly of States Parties (ASP) to the Rome Statute of the ICC took place in The Hague. Representatives from the now 121 ICC Member States, who together form the ASP and thus the management oversight and legislative body of the International Criminal Court, gathered to discuss and decide a number of issues central to the Court's operations.

The ASP is a pivotal event for the Coalition for the ICC, which has participated in ASP sessions for well over a decade. More than 150 NGO representatives attended the tenth ASP to monitor key issues at stake, including the election of 35 new officials resulting in the most significant change in the ICC and ASP leadership since the Court’s establishment, the adoption of resolutions on cooperation, reparations, permanent ICC premises, the “omnibus” resolution and an amendment to rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence. NGOs contributed to discussions through side events, advocacy meetings, press conferences and the submission of position papers.
