> Assembly of States Parties > Sessions > 9th Session 1st Session 2nd Session 3rd Session 4th Session 5th Session 6th Session 7th Session 8th Session 9th Session 10th Session 9th Session From 6 to 10 December 2010, the ninth session of the Assembly of States Parties (ASP) to the Rome Statute of the ICC was held in New York. Representatives from the now 114 ICC Member States, who together form the ASP and thus the management oversight and legislative body of the International Criminal Court, gathered to discuss and decide a number of issues central to the Court's operations.The ASP is a pivotal event for the Coalition for the ICC, which has participated in ASP sessions for well over a decade. More than 150 NGO representatives attended the ninth ASP to monitor key issues at stake, including the necessary follow-up to the June 2010 ICC Review Conference, the ICC budget, cooperation with the ICC, oversight mechanisms and the upcoming judicial and prosecutorial elections, among other issues. NGOs contributed to discussions through side events, advocacy meetings, press conferences and the submission of position papers.
