Yemen
Rome Statute   Yemen signed on 28 December 2000. The Yemeni House of Representatives voted in favor of ratification of the Rome Statute on 24 March 2007. Shortly thereafter, however, the vote was revoked. There have been several speculations as to the reasons for the reverse decision, one of which concerns the civil war in Sa'adah, northern Yemen. Now that the war has ended, it is anticipated that ratification will once again be on the agenda in the next Parliament, expected to resume this year.
