Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa)
Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa)
Rome Statute   Democratic Republic of Congo ratified on 11 April 2002, participating in the simultaneous deposit at the special UN treaty ceremony to mark the 60 ratifications necessary for entry into force. Democratic Republic of Congo signed on 8 September 2000.
Agreement on Privileges and Immunities DRC acceded to the APIC on 3 July 2007
Bilateral Immunity Agreement BIA signed March 18, 2003
Implementing Legislation In September 2005, the government adopted draft implementing legislation incorporating both complementarity and cooperation provisions, and a memorandum was sent to the President of the National Assembly for consideration. After extensive input from civil society and international experts, the draft implementation law went to Parliament for approval by both houses of the legislature to ensure its official promulgation into law. The newly elected Parliament had not started reviewing the draft legislation as of late 2007. It is expected that a group of ICC-supportive Parliamentarians will succeed in putting the draft legislation on the agenda of the ordinary session starting in June 2008.
The draft is available on Amnesty International's website: Loi modifiant et completant certaines dispositions du code penale, du code d'organisation et de la competence judiciaires, du code penal militaire et du code judiciare militaire, en application du statut de la cour penale internationale
