Hungary signed the APIC on 10 September 2002 and ratified on 22 March 2006.

Implementing Legislation
The Ministry of Justice has put forward a bill, which would modify amongst others Art. 32 of the Constitution by adding an additional paragraph 4 saying that “the immunity of the President of the Republic does not exclude his responsibility for crimes under the jurisdiction of, and before a permanent international court established by an international treaty.” According to a news report, this bill passed the Parliament’s Defense Committee for a first reading on the 8th of September 2003.
