Updates on Benin

The Republic of Benin�s implementation draft is at an advanced stage, presently before the Supreme Court for improvements and amendments. During a workshop organized jointly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the ICRC on implementation of the IHL in Benin in March 2008, the General Secretary of the Government agreed to facilitate the transfer of the draft bill from the Government to the Legislature for consideration, as soon as the Supreme Court review is finalized.
