Updates on Burundi

Burundi is amending its domestic criminal law to incorporate certain clauses within the RS. This draft law, which includes comments and suggestions by civil society, is presently before the Parliament for approval. In March 2008, State Officials reiterated their commitment to finalizing the implementation process and welcomed modifying Burundi�s implementation legislation so that it comprehensively embraces all RS clauses, including the relevant clauses on complementarity and cooperation.
