Please find below a media advisory issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) announcing that ICC Prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo will hold a press conference in relation to the situation in Kenya on Tuesday, 24 January 2012, at 12:00. Please take note of the Coalition's policy on situations before the ICC (below), which explicitly states that the Coalition will not take a position on potential and current situations before the Court or situations under analysis. Francis Kirimi Muthaura, Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta and Mohammed Hussein Ali On Tuesday, 24 January 2012, at 12:00 (The Hague local time), the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Mr Luis Moreno-Ocampo, will hold a press conference in relation to the situation in Kenya, in the ICC's Press Briefing Room. Access to the ICC building Media representatives wishing to attend are kindly requested to confirm their attendance by sending an email to [email protected] They are advised to use the public entrance located on Regulusweg and to arrive no later than 11:30. Please note that valid press identification will be requested at the entrance. Journalists will have access to the Media Centre. Media Centre The Court's Media Centre will open from 09:00 until 19:00. The area can sit up to 64 people and includes plasma TV screens; a Wi-Fi internet service; cards (plug + play) for those without Wi-Fi capability in their PC or laptop; 6 computers with internet access; 7 telephones that may be used free of charge for internal calls. For external calls, journalists are advised to use their mobiles or purchase 0800 pre paid phone cards beforehand. Such cards are available at newsagents and train stations. Please note that phone cards cannot be obtained in the vicinity of, or at, the ICC. Technical Requirements Media representatives who wish to have audio from the break-out box are required to bring with them a XLR cable of at least 15 metres long. Those who wish to video record from the break-out box should also bring a BNC cable. Feed for the SNG trucks SNG trucks can record the signal from the Press Briefing Room from the distribution box placed in the media parking facilities (see below). Please note that there is no power supply available at the car park and that it is therefore necessary to have a generator. Parking facilities Parking facilities are available for media representatives at the Regulusweg and Wegastraat car parks.
