Universal Ratification Campaign

The Coalition�s Universal Ratification Campaign (URC), is a worldwide effort to promote universal acceptance of the International Criminal Court (ICC) through a targeted grassroots and civil society-building campaign that focuses national and global advocacy initiatives urging a particular state (or several) each month to join the Rome Statute system and to increase support for ratification at the national level. These joint actions have been successful in pushing ratification forward in many states by drawing government, civil society and media attention to the importance of growing support for the Court in an effort to ensure a universal commitment to the fight against impunity. We encourage you to consult past and upcoming URC focus countries and invite you to join this campaign.
