Coalition Welcomes Guatemala’s Steps Towards ICC Membership

On 26 January 2012, the Congress of Guatemala voted to ratify the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court on its third and final reading. Guatemalan President Otto Pérez Molina must now sign the ratification bill so that it may then be deposited at United Nations Treaty Office. Four Kenya Post-Election Violence Suspects to Face Trial at ICC

On 23 January 2012, Pre-Trial Chamber II of the International Criminal Court decided to move cases against William Samoei Ruto, Joshua Arap Sang, Francis Muthaura and Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta to trial for crimes against humanity during post-election violence in 2007-2008 in Kenya.
